Urban Country Farm Fair
Union Square Somerville
**Union Square is actually easy to get to. Take the Green Inbound Line all the way to the end: Lechmere and then get the 87 bus at the station and it stops at Union Square. With a Charlie Card the transfer is free from T to bus and same on the way back.
"Truth Serum's Urban Country Fair will combine Exhibitors, Craft and Art Sellers, free Boston SkillShare workshops and old time countrified musical entertainment. Country Fairs are about showing off, sharing information, selling wares and connecting with your neighbors. Truth Serum's Urban Country Fair takes these concepts into the urban square to enliven Union Square and celebrate community, creativity (homegrowing, crafting, artmaking) and all things "country."

****This is something I'm looking forward to as I LOVE Fluff
"What the Fluff? Election Special"
Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 4 to 7 pm.
(Raindate September 28)
Union Square, Somerville -(see above for easy directions)
http://www.unionsquaremain.org/committees/Special%20Events/flufffest08.html
"Produced by Union Square Main Streets, this madcap festival celebrates Marshmallow Fluff and the silliness it inspires. In ironic tribute we call upon artists, musical and theatrical performers, inventors, humorists and the general public to celebrate this great American creation and the wackiness of American democracy."
Fluff Stuff & Grub:
This year we've outside vendors to make this a real party. Savor whoopie pies from Petsi's Pies, treats from Kick Ass Cupcakes and s'mores from the Girl Scouts and Taza Chocolate. The Somerville High School has classic fluffernutters and rice krispie treats. Take a break from the sugar with a real meal from India Palace or Pao de Acucar's Brazilian barbeque.
We've even got Fluff -inspired crafts and info tables. Learn about how to recycle all those empty fluff containers and other uses of corn and corn syrup, get screened for diabetes from the Neighborhood Health Plan, and more!
I'm off to the beach so I will post more later.
Go out and enjoy Boston, it's a beautiful day
Hana
